Watch the foundation course, find your role's training, and grab the forms and escalation paths you need — without hunting. New here? Start at step one below.
The Path
Every new user follows the same three steps. You stay in read-only View Only until your role training is confirmed — then your access is elevated.
The ≈13-minute narrated overview below. Everyone watches this first — it's the shared mental model for the whole system.
A short, role-specific session — mostly hands-on practice. Find your role in the grid below for what it covers and how long it takes.
Once training is confirmed, Culinary Admin elevates you from View Only to your working role. Use the quick links and refreshers anytime.
Start Here · Step 1
A self-paced, narrated walkthrough of what Galley is, how its data flows, and how we use it. Watch it once and you'll understand the whole system at a high level.
Ten short chapters with narration and captions: the big picture, the five-level data hierarchy, the four main areas, inside a recipe, menus, the daily field loop, and where to self-serve vs. escalate.
Step 2
Each role has its own track — briefing, hands-on gates, the standards that matter, a quick-reference card, and a knowledge check. Click any card below to open it.
Navigation, production lists, receiving, cycle counts, waste capture, the invoice email submission step, and escalation paths.
Collections & cycles, plans & events, production, receiving, PO management, the full invoice scanning workflow, inventory variance, and reporting.
Full field operations plus the instructor playbook — delivering training, common operator questions, and escalation — so go-lives don't need central staff on-site.
Dietary flag assignment, allergen review, IDDSI awareness, permission scope, PU4 awareness, and escalation to Culinary Admin.
Recipe & menu build for HQ and culinary team staff: naming standards, sub-recipe linking, ingredient lookup, the 75 preparation names, yield & portioning, plans/events/collections, and the submission & review workflow.
System architecture, master library governance, recipe lifecycle, collection & cycle management, vendor import, role provisioning, and reporting.
Navigation, where to find data, and escalation paths. The starting state for every new user — read-only until role training is confirmed.
Step 3 · Ongoing
After role training: confirm competency with a scored sign-off, then keep data clean with the refresher cadences. Production assets for the narrated video live here too.
The mechanism that confirms training: a scored knowledge check plus the role's hands-on gates, producing a printable completion record that triggers elevation from View Only.
The Day-30 check-in, the annual refresher by role, and a Symptom → Fix library that turns recurring data errors into targeted two-minute micro-lessons.
Not part of the learner path
Instructor and production material. If you are here to train, you do not need any of this.
